Sentences that begin with "I wonder," are not questions!
Wrong: I wonder what tomorrow will bring? (Are you responding to someone who just informed you that you're wondering about tomorrow?)
Right: I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
That is all.

Good point, Paul. To make a question mark work with a sentence beginning "I wonder" you have to add a comma.
ReplyDelete"I wonder, what will tomorrow bring?"
I did not know that. Weird...luckily I don't often use that sort of sentence :O
ReplyDeleteI have to admit. It bothers me too, and punctuation isn't even one of my strengths. I worked for someone who "forced" me to put question marks at the end of everything. Several times a day, I had to remember that he also signed my pay checks. :)
ReplyDeleteHow about if you put "I wander..." at the beginning of a sentence?
ReplyDeleteGood counterpoint A.R.!
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul. I don't often have a counterpoint with grammar stuff so I get REAllY excited when I do.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great blog and I'm enjoying it.
